Hey, whats up? A few weeks ago I got a ticket for possession of under an ounce of marijuana from a Riverside County Sheriff. Today I went to my local court to get fingerprinted and take care of the ticket, which I had always been told is just a $100 fine and not really a big deal. Anyways, after I got fingerprinted, I went to the court clerk, and they told me that I could not pay that fine, and that I would have to see the judge on my court date. Anyone know why? Is there some reason why I can't just pay the fine and move on like the dozen or so of my friends who have gone through this did?
