The bar will not fit the SI - plain and simple. I test fit the first one in the US months ago and the 3 point mounting plate interfered with the intake manifold on the SI. There really isn't anything you can do about it...
It's not surprising though - the Cusco 3 point bar was intended for the JDM Civics that share the R18 engine as I understand it. We have confirmed fitment on US R18 Civics and the bars will be available in a couple of days
