Cut yellow ignition wire = button start, no key start
Splice yellow ignition wire = button start and key start
I think it would be fairly difficult to burn the button if you're using a 30A relay, and provided you're using the OEM S2K start button and not a replica.
I don't like the idea of splicing the ignition wire because it seems to me that if you want to keep the key start, then why add a button in the first place? Go all the way or don't go at all
