Issue with Skunk2 Rear Camber arm bushing

All, not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I wanted to post up just to give you the skinny of what's happened here.

Two days ago, my car failed inspection because the inboard bushing on the Skunk2 rear control arm on my 2007 Civic Si is totally shot. Now, polyurethane bushings are typically louder in general, but the clunking I was hearing was just horrible and it's been going on for a few months now. The issue turned out to be this blown bushing, just on the driver's side though.

Skunk2 is sending me new bushings for free, but I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and what may be causing it. I live in PA, where it's been VERY cold recently, followed by spots of strangely warm weather. Is this possibly causing the stress on the polyurethane bushings? Any advice would be appreciated.
