Ae you just wedging the ballasts in the fender, or are you actually mounting them? It appears that your solution has the potential of letting the ballast flop around in the fender, and possibly interfering with the airbag deployment sensor.

Can you be more specific in your mounting technique?

If the ballasts are not securely mounted in the fender, this is not a recommended mounting technique.
