I like the secret work-around procedure you posted, I'm gonna try that out. And I assume you can go back to the factory setup by repeating the sequence again?

Omg that you for telling me that. I've been leaving mine on defrost all the time, hope my gas mileage will be better after this
Does this apply if I go from Defrost to foot-only mode to face or face/foot? For example: I change from defrost to foot-only. I know the AC is still on. But if I go from foot-only to face or face/foot will the AC still remain on? And I assume if I press foot-only without ever turning either of the defrosters on the AC won't turn on right?
