I have found this problem on my LX by accident. The AC should stay on by default for any of the two defrost settings. If you have your air switched to Foot-defrost and then select the Foot only setting the AC doesn't go off. But, if you hit the Face or Face-Foot button the AC goes off. Now if you switch to Foot only switch the AC stays off. I will ask my dealer to check this. But, I have a feeling that this is a bug in the HVAC control panel operation. Let me know if you find a similar issue.
