DC5 Dead rest pedal. Mini diy.

I have received several requests for showing how the DC5 dead pedal was setup in my fg2 here are the pics. It is quite simple.

First, I mapped out where the pedal would lie on the stock dead pedal. I cut off on the bottom, top, and lower left side of the stock dead pedal.
It should look something like this:

It is important not to cut the upper mounting point off. You must only cut the top portion and then follow the the sideline to the top. The red stuff is where i cut.

Next I filled in the back upper portion and the front upper part with duroglass, or you can use bondo and achieve the same results. I then sanded the front upper part so it would end in an angle towards the carpet.

The next image shows the lower left side cut. There is no need to smooth it off since it is not going to be seen, nor is the bottom.

Now that the frame was ready, I used very thin velcro, I used some HQ 3m stuff. Placed it on the sruface of the sock dead reest, and on the back of the DC5 part. Be sure to cut a hole for the center rotating screw for future removal.

Then stick it on. You may have to adjust it slightly when it is in the car. This is what it should look like in the end.

Warning. If you decide to just cut the top portion without angling it towards the carpet. It will look bad. I did that way first, then reconsidered. I hope this helps. Its kind of a simple rushed DIY. Good Luck. Any ?'s, msg me.
