Well put. Got my Civic LX for the same reason. I bought the car to go from A to B but I was pleasantly surprised on how well it drives.

I can baby it and get high 30's mpg or rev it up and have a blast rowing up and down the gearbox on twisty back roads. It handles beautifully for a car costing so little. Simply put, its never going to win many races, but it is sure fun to drive IMO. Looks nice, too!
