Preparing for Pacific Raceways in march, never been there before. Anyways, I had glorious plans full of luxury items (coilovers, rpf1s with rcompies...) but life throws curveballs. Regardless Im undeterred, my budget is just severely cut.

I was even considering running stock tires, but Im not interested in cutting something that can serve me 30k+ down in one day. I see the coils and wheels as the biggest budget cuts I can make, I want to arrive and drive comfortably, and leave in one piece with nothing smoking. Basically a lot of compromise. Helms manual on the way, as is the CG-Lock, seems like an excellent product as I dont want to deal with a harness. Im just looking for seat time with my new car.

Plan:

1.Take off stock tires, put on some decent track tires that will last 2+ track days. Pref over 200 TW.

2. One set of ingals, cant stand the thought of the poor tires during cornering with 0 camber.

3. Hawks HP for street, leave rotors as is. Bed in another set of front rotors and track pads, dedicated just for the track. Complimented by rbf600.

And thats it... will this get me through? Its going to be my first time at pacific, so I wont push it, regardless I have never had to conserve brakes and this worries me the most.

Regarding the tires, any suggestions? Im looking for a decent compromise tire and its going on the stock wheels for now, maybe after the second set I will get the RPF1s. Also any place mount them for free? Last time I had to switch two sets of tires between my track/street wheels it cost me approx 100 CAD.

brakes/tires/fluid and you're set for the track. Camber would def be next if its not too much of a problem.
