ok....so i tried to this...sounds crazy, but i'm having the most progress with this....it's just very tedious...

I put wax on the affected area...left it for about 10 mins...wiped clean...that didnt work

now i tried a razor blade to remove it...it removed a good chunk of the residue, but i can still see the spot from the inside of my car which is weird.
