I ordered a Carbing Upper Strut Bar the help complete the handling package on my FG. The installation is pretty straight forward. Here are some pics:
Beautiful welded end plates, the double bolt on the endplates is a much better setup than the single bolt found on other bars:

It is a shame that the upper strut bar can not be seen after installation but hey function before form. I have never been a fan of bolt together style strut bars, due to the flexing and adjustablility of that style of bar. But the Carbing bar with its dual bolt on either end plate is a very good solution to this issue. You could not install an upper strut bar on our vehicles if it was a single piece bar. That being said the Carbing strut bar does add to the high speed stability of the front end of the vehicle. When tossing the car into highway sweepers the front end tracks much better. The only issue with this bar is that it does need to be removed if you plan to do a header install or rere a valve cover. Basically anywork that requires the factory windshield brace to be removed, the strut brace gets in the ways of that. Other than that, this is a great piece I would have expected nothing less from Carbing or Tein.
