That is straight from the factory and with the Navigation System too if I recall correctly. I wouldn't really know how to route the antenna wire to the outside of the car though... maybe through a window seal???
Yeah I thought it was crappy too. I don't want that friggin' pack of cig's sized antenna in my Passenger's side windshield! That and they wanted me to mess with the side curtain airbag to run it through there.
