yeah it's about a 1/2 inch thick, it makes the lining in the trunk a little bloated and it's a little tricky to get it all together, but i don't notice it anymore really. the road noise is a lot less but this is coming from the trunk.
i majority of road noise is coming from the doors and the front area i think, so while this deadens the rear, finding a cheap way to deaden the doors and front would be better.
