Wheels differ, and one of the ways the differ is the bore size. That being the diameter of the hole in the center that fits over the car's hub. The hub on 8G civics is 64mm, so the hole in the wheel needs to match that in order to properly center the rim. The fit between the bore of the wheel and the hub is what establishes the alignment between the two, rather than the lugs.
OEM wheels are engineered to fit the car they come on. As such, the bore in the wheel will match the hub with no centering ring. Aftermarket rims are generally designed to fit as wide of selection of cars as possible, and as such have a larger than necessary bore and rely on a centering ring to adapt it down to the hub or your choice.
Given the kind of money that Advans cost, you think they could afford to have seperate versions with the bore size of your choice. If this is not the case, you will need a centering ring that adapts whatever the bore size is on the Advans you are getting to the 64mm hub of the civic. This centering rings are generally .1mm larger than the hub to allow enough clearence to fit over the hub. .1mm is less than .040", allowing them to fit over the hub.
