Kennel training is not mean, they are used to it. They actually freak if the Kennel is too big. It has to be big enough for them to stand and turn around but not much bigger. If its too big they get stressed because its not like a "den".

I went through 4 kennels in two years, I bought them as my boy grew. I still have his kennel in the spare room but he hasn't been in it in over a year.
When I mention kennel training to some they have freaked on me...lol I lived and learned with another past dog i had. Kennel training for my future doggies is mandatory.
