Hi gr3yEX1:

This is a good news too me. I don't plan to install an aftermarket amplifier at this stage, just wishing the aftermarket head unit can output decent power, 20Wrms/ch for instance. Then I can just connect the aftermarket head unit to the wire harness of the vechicle maybe through some connector adapters.

A powered compact subwoofer can also be easily hooked up to the head unit and be placed under the front seat.

I hope I understand your answer correctly. I am really looking forward to this upgrade. Any suggestions on the audio connector adapters to Pioneer FH-P8000BT or JVC KW-XG700. They are both 2 DINs and the ports are standard.
