Really? Aren't you in the military?

That's the measurement of the round. 7.62mm is the diameter of the round itself and 39(mm) is the length of the round with the shell.

You've got the
- 7.62x39 (AK-47)
- 7.62x51 NATO ( CETME, G3, L1A1, M14, Etc.)
- 7.62x54 (Dragunov)
