-Cheaper Insurance
-More Reliable (concerning transmission, etc.)
-Uses cheaper gas (87 compared to 91
-Higher MPG
-Cheaper MSRP
-Easier to sell, most likely depreciates more slowly than the Si (more people are willing to buy normal civic than Si)
-Automatic Transmission is an option

Honestly, they are not that different. The Si does have a little more power, but I feel that the advantages of the R18 outweigh the disadvantages. If you want the stiff handling of the Si, it should not cost much to switch in the Si parts... same with the wheels.
