the harness can still melt, halogen heats up fast, it wont melt from being a day time running light, but if u run them for a few minutes they will heat up way too quicky

your best bet is getting standard 65 Watt yellow bulbs, they are hard to find sometimes but u can
i still dont know why you would want yellow, it doesnt do great for illuminating the road in my opinion, things look weird, kinda throws of your eye sight lol
my friend dropped them on his si, looked good from the front, not so much from the drivers seat lol
not to mention your actually loosing light output by getting a yellow bulb

if nething your best bet is an HIR, more light, slightly whiter than standard halogen, and 65watts!
nothing beats that lol
