You will be fine boosting up to 12psi on the stock motor, just don't pass that for now, at 12psi you should make good power. at 10 it is like 210whp and 214lbs of torque, at 12 it should be like 225whp and 230lbs of torque, this is just a an estimate. but it should be around there for the manuals, the autos might see a little less power, but not much less. this with a 2.5 inch exhaust.

The R18 motor stays in ivtec from 1k to 3.5k rpms after that you are on the high output mode, while the R18 motor stays in ivtec it is to save gas not to go fast.
But now with the turbo, imagine ivtec like the one for the Si is on your car but it kicks in at any RPM as soon as you step on it and pushes you back more because of that torque the turbo makes.
But if you drive your car like normal, it will still give you that same driving feeling like before and you will still get great gas milage.
