Might help for you non-premium guys assuming the head unit does NOT have a remote turn-on 12v such as the premium unit which is how the premium turns on the oem amp.
I've seen guys in here tap into the fuse box to an accessory out.. Might work nicely as a turn on lead for your aftermarket amp.
Alternative is a think called a trunk-loc by pac which serves as a loc and also has a 12v out to turn on your amp.
