If that's the case, then the short ram intake would be your best bet. The installation is quick and easy - remove the stock airbox and tubing that connects the airbox to the resonator box. You don't need to remove your bumper and you can put back together if you need to.
Personally, I leave my aftermarket stuff on. That's only because the stuff I come in for isn't related to my intake. If you're going for any major warranty work dealing with the powertrain, then it might be a good idea to put things back together stock.
