OK, well that explains your logic behind the statement and makes sense. But, I think its the design of the intake that is making the CEL come on, not how people are installing them. Thats the point here. It's not like the Injen "CAN'T" get a CEL. If you had leaks or improper installation on the Injen intake you would know because of the sounds, performance, and yes a CEL would come on. If I installed the Injen intake with a blindfold on and then purposely didn't tighten the seals and stuff it would be messed up just like the AEM would if you did the same thing. BUT, the AEM is being installed right and still has CEL issues (with some people at least). Also, Its proven that the AEM doesnt make as much power as Injen. People have put up dynos of the Injen CAI gaining as much as 13 horses. The AEM one is 7.3 on their website. Given that, plus the CEL issues, plus the fact that there race header falls apart, I don't know how in the world anyone would buy an AEM intake. Why would you do that? I just don't know. No flaming here......I understand your thinking and you have a point, I just don't think thats the problem. Anyone else?
