I dont think that would be a good idea...you can get dark film tints for your rear tail lights...but putting black electric tape..ur just asking for trouble....at least w/the tints....the person behind you can see when you press on your bakes..and FYI...i already got a fix it ticket for my Black tints after having them on for about 6 months
