the shorter the knob = shorter the throw...but it also takes more force to move the knob.

the taller the knob, the more leverage you have and it moves into gear much easier....although the throw will feel longer

its all persoanl prefrence.

BTW, the skunk2 knob will not sit any lower inyour car.
