Update:
I went to my local dealer and most of the cars on the lot are this way. He said that most people don't notice this so it isn't really a problem. I guess I am amazed at the fact that this isn't painted and cleared. If you pull up your carpet they do it there, why not in an area that you can see? I guess I am overreacting but just wanted to get some input from the forums. I will take some pics and post them up.
