what they're saying is true. If it was installed before delivery, the 3/36 warranty applies. If it was installed after (but you took it to a honda dealership) you get a 1/12 (that's yr/month) warranty. I got mine after the purchase so it's only under warranty for 1/12... either way, I'd still like to see pics of where it is rubbing paint off of your car...
P.S. The dealership I got mine from did the install themselves.
