I call BS. Seeing through the sides with a fully lit area is on thing, but I doubt you would confidently back into a lowly lit driveway with another car parked behind you.
Even with 17% on my truck, I really felt better sliding the middle window open because it was so dark at night.
For someone going from no tint to tint, it would be a bad idea to go to 5%.
