I've owned both and although they have the same engine they are very different cars.
The EP3 is very raw and basic. Great fun to drive though.
The new FN2 is much more refined, better equipped but still a hard ride. And most importantly its still really good fun to drive. Handling and performance feel the same in everyday use.
The whole EP3 v FN2 causes a lot of heated debate. Its a long thread but lots of different impressions here
