Hi TechJunky,
It is easy to remove the short shifter adapter, it's just a matter of loosening the shifter from the shift assembly and cleaning the jam nut from the dried loctite on it before installing it back on the car.
However, if you plan on removing the shifter adapter a few time, I suggest you buy it with the
installed pivot cup because you could potentially damage the stock one by doing so.
Concerning the manufacturer warranty, the shifter adapter does not affect it. Plus, all of our shifters are protected by a lifetime garantee to the original buyer.
