I wonder why they chose these?
edit: Meaning KDW or KDW 2?

They are the stock Mugen tires. Also I am running in Texas where the temps have been in the 90's and surface temps were really high. They got greasy when they overheated so I had to cool them off between runs. For just everyday driving and running in cooler temps (70's-80's) they are fantastic. Just for here they don't quite hold up in the higher temps. Actually on my 3rd run at the may AutoX it actually felt like I was driving on a greased pig, almost not traction at all. Temps were around 96-97 degrees and the asphault was hot enough that my shoes started to get mushy. No telling what the tire temps were.
