I came up with a simple quick fix for the sagging shift boot people are having with after market knobs. I went to home depot and bought a pack of rubber grommets (found them in the plumbing section). All you need to do is remove the knob and shift boot, place the rubber grommet on the lever (make sure you get the appropriate diameter to make a snug fit on it) reinstall the shift boot and screw the knob back on....
