Yes, the sound comes from the spring fully expanding and then the back spiral coming down and "tapping" on the bottom of the dampener spring support. What I did was order some more rubber spring sleeves from my dealership ($14.00) sliced them open and put one of them on the passenger side spring, and one on the driver side spring. I also secured them with black electrical tape but I don' think that it was necessary, I just over-kill things.
My car is completely quite now. There is nothing at all popping or clunking, even during sharp turns. All that was needed was a lil more rubber.
On a side note, my wife thought my car looked ghetto because of how low it was. I laughed at her then told her to shut up and get naked (not really, but I wish I could have said that lol).
