You have an Si. So, basically:
1. Use a wrench or something to hold that locking nut on the bottom of your shift knob.
2. Use that wrench to loosen the locking nut.
2a. If I remember right, I used the wrench on the locking nut and twisted on the shift knob.
3. Unscrew shift knob.
4. Take out locking nut, unless you're going to use it with the shift knob you are putting on.
5. Profit
