Now if a cop is doing stationary radar and hitting ever car that comes by them, then they work good because they can pick up the signal before you even get close. If the cops is smart and has been doing the job a while they can catch you. I got rid of my radar detector. I didn't have one for three years and was fine. Two months after getting one I got my first ticket, one month later ticket number two. Never bought another. But good DIY write up.

Just have to say learn to drive then :\ , got my 8500x50 blue no tickets yet, down here in FL, they use impalas, VW, Chargers, jeeps, trucks as undercovers, Its all about beeing and an alert driver If you want to speed. Just NEVER speed in school zones, and take care bc of laser when you are driving in those 40mph zones.
