Excellent tutorial man! I have very similar Pioneer 6.5's and wanted to get some decent highs out of the rear deck, but after struggling with Crutchfield they sent me brackets that were supposed to fit and didn't even come close, so I got fed up and sent the brackets back then gutted the stock speakers for their ring brackets and the new 6.5's went in easily. The highs a mids sound great off the rear, but now the highs in the dash can't compete so I'm thinking of leaving the mids in the doors cuz they seem to be good and upgrading to set of tweeters, I opened a damn can of worms for sure with this car. haha
I also installed a MTX 4508 8" Sub cuz the stock one bottomed out way too easily at high volume, but the new one's hitting just fine! I have a 200 watt self amplified 10" SAS bass tube but I placed it in the trunk and it takes up far too much space, I need my damn trunk space so the 8" will have to do for now. I found Crutchfield supplies a nice custom trunk box with a 10" sub included for the Civic Si that fits in the back right corner but I'm not about to pay $700 bucks for damn thing.
