repeat after me: HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY!
*embaressed* as hell so long story short:
had all mods removed from my car, considering selling it and wanted to make sure everything with the extended warranty is kosher.
Most of you that know me, know that I am not much of a mechanic. So I took the car into Steven's Creek Honda, asking them to check it out.
Without going into the details, I ended up telling an incredibly lame story to the service advisor (who shall remain nameless).
Well I guess people at Steven's Creek read the 8th, so basically:
Me = Caught.
The service advisor calls, and kindly reminds me that honesty is the best policy, and that the car is well known from 8thcivic.com.
Me = extremely embaressed.
So anyway, after sitting around thinking about the phone conversation, and since I wasn't smart enough to come clean right then and there...
I had to do the right thing, suck it up, and call back and apologize.
So yeah, I'm not in the habit of lying, even white lies, and apparently it shows.
I'm bringing the advisor a 6 pack of beer of his favorite beer in attempt to make amends. Maybe I am going overboard, but in today's crazy world, I think personal reputation means a lot.
Anyway, here's to being a jerk.
