. . . you can just pick up a copy of windows xp and run it through bootcamp if you absolutely need windows. i work for geek squad and i get dells and hp's all the time that crap out after only a few months or get infected by some sort of virus. with mac the likelihood of getting a virus is slim to none and if you have any problems with it you can stop by any apple store and they can take care of most hardware problems in store. the only downside is that the optical drive is slot loading but i've only had one instance where a disc got stuck
