Haltech are little more than the AEM units in price. Since I have no experience with the AEM I can't really tell you the difference other than knock detection (stand AEM). From watching Mo, at swift, tune all of the IS300 with the Haltech it's seems to easier to fine tune than the AEM ECU. This is coming from a Master Tuner but also a tuner that's a Haltech reseller. Mo knows his stuff when it comes to tuning so I trust what he says about most ECU on the market. Haltech is also lauching a newer ECU that is a direct replacement called the "Platium". Hoping to see it lauched later this summer.. it's quite successful with the 350Z.
