I'm sure it's just a matter of cutting away the soft plastic. I did mine with my pocket knife, and followed the stencil. Kind of scary how easy it was. I did it when I had my Miata and added a second exhaust outlet. Measure twice, cut once...

right side was stock, left side I had to cut out.
