Honda-Tech.com: Acura Integra: Toshiba 9012 HIR bulbs better than Silverstars. next best thing to HIDs? who has them?
S-Series.Org :: View topic - Upgrade your lighting [ready for vote] (so far the most informative ive found, still looking for the testing site i had found lol)
HIR Headlights 9011 9012 bulbs <<<< that is the EBAY vendors website, so it MIGHT be questionable to some, but seems pretty on much on the same line
http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulleti...r-bulbs-75931/ (this guy already tried them and liked them)
i made a mistake too, the HIRs last the SAME amount of time a DOT spec 9005/9006 will last respectively, 350/875
thats DOT spec tho, depending on how Toshiba manufactures them (and John Deere representatives say their 9012 lasts over 1500 hours lol)
The death of HID = HIR ? - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum
still looking for the BMW club one tho lets seee
The Light Bulb Saga
ok looks like the original bmw club one i saw about 11 months ago has shut down :-(
most of the information was taken from that site and spread out to these sites, but i can only hope the dude who posted on their has his thing archived somewhere and someone can find it
he tested 5 bulbs if i remember correctly
a standard 9006, a ge nighthawk, both versions of the silverstar, and the HIR
he did the same for the the 9005 (high beam for those who are confused)
the HIR outperformed all of the bulbs, with the GE nighhawk slightly above the standard 9006, but not in the case of the 9005, the HIR killed the competition with the standard in second and the rest fallen behind
ANYONE who has used silverstars for a few months knows how flakey they are, anyone who uses HIRs know how great they are
im ordering mine in a week or two, when i get them i will show pictures for you
SOME EVIDENCE according to one website shows that they MIGHT not last as long as the standard halogen, but they had no way to prove that either lol
