The laws may vary from state to state, but at most I believe you pay a little extra if you are under 25 (or maybe 21) but that is Honda's problem, not yours. If they try to tell you that you have to be 25 ask them why. You are old enough for them to sell you the car, they should be able to give you a loaner if it breaks down on you.

If you go through Enterprise, which most dealerships have onsite, you do need to be 25 - it's their rule.
If that is the case, push hard on the dealership manager to get you a dealer loaner, like a program or demo car. Hell, as long as it has 4 wheels and rolls, who cares what it is right?
A cracked engine block is a pretty major factory defect. IMO, Honda USA and the dealership that took your money should bend over backwards to make you happy and want to buy another Honda.
