Installed my Vibrant Streetpower CatBack yesterday. The resonator had a dime sized and a quarter sized dent on one side, fortunately after installation the dents are facing the inside of the heat shield and are not visible. If Vibrant would just take an extra minute to stuff some newspaper or something around the loose components the dent problem would be minimized.
Installation was a breeze, took about an hour to remove the stock exhaust and install the Vibrant, with the car propped up on one side with jack stands.
The mid pipe sleeve leaked as expected so I had the sleeve removed and the pipe welded together today.
The exhaust tip IS closer to the bumper than I'm comfortable with, about half an inch, so I'm going to fix that issue today.
The Car feels different, I have not driven it enough to be able to give a full review of the performance differences but I will in a couple of days. I can say that it is a little louder than it was with just the RT CAT as the only exhaust mod before the Vibrant exhaust was put on. But the car now has a lower tone. At highway speeds it sounds like stock, no drone.
The Vibrant exhaust is pretty loud with ANY acceleration, soft or hard (hard is louder) but during cruising the tone is very nice and I don't think it would draw the attention of the PO PO. Mine is probably a little louder than just having the exhaust would be because of the RT CAT but it's still NOT too loud and has a very nice low tone. When I "get in it" the car sounds very racie but I'll have to get back to the forum as to any performance differences there may be after I get a few runs on the Butt dyno.
Overall I like the exhaust, the price was right at $490 from Corsport, but Vibrant needs to fix the packing problem, you should plan on having the welding done (was $35) and watch out for the bumper clearance.
