I like certain aspects of both controllers. I have larger hands, so 360 feels a bit more natural. At the same time, I've been using the DualShock since high school, so I'm very used to it. I prefer the button and stick feel of the DS3. I like the stick locations better on the 360. I like the 360 trigger style a little better than DS3, but don't like how far the bumpers are from the triggers, as opposed to DS3 R1 and R2 being very close together. I also like the feeling of resistance given by R2 and L2 vs. the 360 triggers.
If I were new to gaming I think I would feel intimidated by the design of the 360 controller vs. the DS3. If I were a moderate gamer I would probably prefer the more natural hand positioning of the 360. But having started on the NES controller, I can handle anything.
