I too have the 60Gb PS3 (backward compatible w/PS2 & 1, media card reader, & wireless). It's very quiet and I've watched Blu Ray movies back to back and it'll get warm but never hot. The only problems are minor -dust magnet, looks lame vertical, shaped like a old Bang Olufsen stereo, no PS2 controller port (for old steering wheel), can't stand chrome on cars or video games, warranty is kinda short.
From what I've noticed 360/PS3 games are just ports from the 360 so they don't take full advantage of the PS3 graphics (like having a Si but every road you're on has a 30 mph limit and a cop on every corner).
The best part of the PS3 is that it's the cheapest Blu Ray player but G4 said that Microsoft is pursuing a Blu Ray add on to replace the HD-DVD from a couple of months ago. I suppose the core 360 with Blu Ray would be the cheapest BD player.
