My car needed three bottles. Aamco's little pump thing couldn't suck up anything from the last .4 qt from the bottle so I had to go buy another.
Don't do the swap though. I did and I regret it. If you've really got a problem, it will come back with time. I thought it fixed mine, however two months down the line and it's back in full force. I'd suggest leaving it stock and taking it to a dealer to get the transmission work done on it.
