SO for the general public who goes by the maintenance minder, shouldn't Honda recalibrate the minder to say ADD OIL (since it's normal for honda engines(ONLY) to burn oil) or have shorter maintenance interval on SI models specifically?

When i had my EX, I never lost more than 10th of a quart ever if any at all.

point being...new engines should not burn oil.
It's not uncommon for a new engine to use a little oil during break-in. Some people just don't notice because they are used to changing their oil every 3k miles. When you extend the interval to twice that, adding oil becomes more necessary. Besides, the manual tells you to check the oil level regularly.
