So .. it would be better to just buy it direct from Hondata. Waranty is void once you do this .. Honda doesnt recomend it.. however if you swapped anothr one back in im sure it wouldnt be noticed unless you peg the RPMs over Honda factory redline and blow the engine...ive been thinking about doing this since I got the car .. and if anyone has it done please let me know how much of a difference it really is.

You were right about everything except the last part. If you swap another ECU back in then another VIN number will show. Each time your car goes in for any engine warranty reasons they'll plug in a small computer and if your VIN doesn't show your warranty will be void right away.
so what you CAN do .. is get another ecu.. then toss it to hondata.. and use that one.. but each time before you bring your car in to the dealership you'll have to swap back your stock ecu
There is no point in doing hondata unless you have ATLEAST intake, header, exhaust done
and yeah.. the place in sauga is the only place that does hondata in ontario. they are reliable. and since they do have to send it down to the states you are paying for the shipping charges both back and forth as well.
