I haven't been paying attention to this thread, but this caught my eye since I'm a huge WWII nerd lol. I only like single engine, single-seat fighters so it limits the selection, but my fav is the Ki-84 Hayate. Very underappreciated, in part because by the end of the war the fuel quality was so bad for the Japanese and the QA for engines were horrid. It's like driving a Lambo with 87 octane fuel. Great maneuverability, speed, armor. I'm also impartial to maneuverable fighters--zoom & boom fighters seem so dull to me (immediately ruling out the F4U, P-47 and most other US fighters)
